Why do I receive an error message when entering my LoginTAN?
If you receive a LoginTAN from bitcoin.de after entering your correct combination of username and password, which is not accepted for login, you have entered a wrong LoginTAN. This can have two different causes.
According to a greylisting procedure the delivery of LoginTAN e-mails on the part of your provider / mail server ist deferred:
This problem typically occurs with specially managed or self-hosted mail servers. Due to an insufficiently configured greylisting procedure, it may happen, that our emails do not appear at all or rather appear at least several minutes later in your mailbox. The moment that the LoginTAN finally reaches you, it will no longer be valid after a new login attempt, in which a new LoginTAN is sent. In such cases, please check the filter settings of your mail server and, in case of doubt, contact your network administrator directly.
You only use a single browser tab and leave bitcoin.de to retrieve the email with LoginTAN:
The moment you leave bitcoin.de your registration process will be interupted and therefore invalid. So if you, after retrieving the e-mail with the LoginTAN, call bitcoin.de again and enter the user name and password, the system tries to validate the registration again by sending a new LoginTAN. The LoginTAN you retrieved earlier is no longer valid. To avoid this problem, you should open two different browser tabs, one for the registration and one for your emails. With the popular browsers such as Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer, you can use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + T to open a new browser tab.
