How can I change my mobile phone number for the SMS mTAN procedure?
You can change your mobile number via the settings in your account at:
"my Bitcoin.de" -> "Settings" -> "Mobile number" -> "Change mobile number"
How exactly the mobile number is changed depends on whether you use 2-factor authentication to secure your account and whether you still have access to the mobile number to be changed.
Changing the mobile number by entering a one-time password (2-factor authentication, password table, Yubikey)
If you have activated 2-factor authentication in your account, you can change your mobile number by entering a valid one-time password or a combination from your password table.
Changing the mobile number when accessing your old mobile number
If you still have access to your mobile number currently stored in your account, we will send you an mTAN to both your old and your new mobile number. By entering both mTANs, you can confirm the change to your mobile number then.
Changing mobile number WITHOUT access to your old mobile number
If you no longer have access to your mobile number currently stored in your account, then for security reasons, a legitimation check must first be carried out by means of a test transfer from your verified bank account. You will receive the data for the test transfer after clicking on ‘Change mobile number’.
