Why do I get an error message when entering IBAN and BIC?
The reason for rejection of the bank account usually arise from the wording of the error message, which may be as follows:
"This IBAN can not be used"
This error message may appear, if your bank account has already been deposited in another account. Have you ever registered on bitcoin.de in the past?

"Please enter a valid BIC"
This error message appears i.a. if the BIC you entered is too short. Therefore, please note that a valid BIC consists of at least 8 characters.
This error message can also occur, if your bank is merged with another bank. As a result, the IBAN as well as the BIC often change.

"IBAN and BIC are not compatible"
Unfortunately, not all banks adhere to the standard by naming their BIC. Especially customers of the Commerzbank receive this error message quite often.
