Which payment methods can I use for purchases on bitcoin.de?
The payment for purchases on bitcoin.de is directly handled between the buyer and seller. Basically, there are two payment methods available:
Direct payment via online banking (SEPA transaction)
After initiating a purchase of bitcoins or any other cryptocurrency on the marketplace, you will receive the verified bank details of the seller from bitcoin.de. Within a prescribed period (please note our list of prescribed periods in the General Terms and Conditions), you need to transfer the purchase price via online banking of your verified bank account to the bank account of the seller and confirm the transfer by clicking on bitcoin.de again.
The acquired bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies will be transferred to your wallet as soon as the seller confirms the receipt of your transfer.
Automated payment processing via express trade
With an account at our partner bank you can reserve bank balances to make express purchases (indicated by the green symbol) for trading on bitcoin.de. After initiating a purchase in the marketplace, usually within a few moments the purchase will be paid from your account at our partner bank and you will receive the acquired bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies without waiting.
Therefore, in order to enable fast and convenient trading, we recommend our users to open an account with our partner bank to use express trading.
Additional possibility via crypto-to-crypto marketplace
The crypto-to-crypto marketplace allows you to use your cryptocurrency to buy another cryptocurrency from a seller. The conversion values will be shown to you during the purchase process.
