How does the PostIdent procedure work?
If you decide on the PostIdent procedure, you only need to download the PostIdent coupon offered on the overview page of your account under 'my Bitcoin.de' -> 'Overview' -> 'Status of your legitimacy' and print it out. You may then go to the nearest post office with the PostIdent coupon and a current identification document. An employee of "Deutsche Post" will register your ident data and send them to bitcoin.de. A PostIdent procedure is usually completed within 10 business days.
If you do not reside in Germany the identification cannot be carried out in a branch of the "Deutsche Post". Instead you can perform the identification with a notary, lawyer, bank or official authority of your choice.
